Hold Your Head High, Heavy Heart

This Too Shall Pass...

I haven’t been bloggin’ lately.

And it’s because I’ve been totally caught up in school and other stuff like band stuff and stuff that rhymes with “tip”.

ANYHOO, my long weekend was pretty great.

Last Friday, my band got invited to play in the Seniors’ legacy entitled “Radiate”. The whole event was awesome, Parokya ni Edgar was awesome… our set? Not so much :)))) We had 3-hour practice the day before, and we weren’t prepared at all.

Last Saturday, my entire family (including extended ones) checked-in at The Intercontinental Hotel in Makati. I met my cousin’s girlfriend…. which by the way was hella awesome. We got all fangirly at bands and stuff and she told me, “I’ve never met anyone who shares my love for Damien Rice….” and I was just, “Ohmygod I was just about to say the same thing…” and then we said simultaneously, “My favorite song is The Blower’s Daughter…” I love her, we get it. :)))

We had an “early dinner” at Max Brenner Chocolate Bar. I had an awesome, AWESOME Venezuelan Dark Hot Chocolate. I recommend everyone to visit there. :))))) After the early dinner, we just strolled around Greenbelt and my cousin had to drop his girlfriend home.

At about 10pm, we left the hotel to go to the Mercato Midnight Market. It was hella awesome even though there were too many people. I had this awesome Sea-salt caramel ice cream from that little ice cream moo place thinggo :)))) and lots of other foods that I just cannot enumerate right now.

On Sunday, we went to the hotel’s breakfast buffet… and I liked it. You see, my standard for any kind of buffet is Edsa-Shangri-La’s buffet. :)))) and that’s pretty hard to live up too. :))

We went swimming after, and can I just say how scary the pool was at Intercon. You know how most pools are made up of tiles and if ever it goes deeper, the pool floor is like this ramp-like thing that goes deeper. Well, not for this hotel. The pool is NOT made up of tiles. It’s made up of some sort of other things and the pool does not gradually go deeper, but it CAVES in, like a BOWL. Yeah, make that a 9-foot deep bowl. :))))))) Thank God for swimming class.

Before we checked out of the hotel, my mom bought a quart of hand-packed frozen yogurt from Golden Spoon. I was a happy child.

And then today… I woke up pretty early even if we did not have school. Anne was dropped off by her grandpa at my house at like, 6:30 in the morning. We had to leave early to get the application forms of this review center thinggo that we’re enrolling in for the summer.

So we left the house, picked up Mian, and then we rushed to Trinoma to get our tickets for Liv5. When we got there the concierge told us that we should call first at their hotline before we can get the tickets from them. It was redundant because if we call the hotline, it’s the people in the concierge who is going to answer the damn phone. but that’s the procedure so we called. :))) It took us about half an hour to get through the freaking hotline though~

And so we got our VIP tickets. Weeeeeeeeee~

After that, we went to the review center to pick up application forms and then dropped Mian off.

We ate lunch at Ming Chao and ta-daaaaa!

Great weekend~~~
